AN inquest has been opened for the death of a 32-year-old woman who was found dead at Didcot Parkway Station this month.

At Oxford Coroner’s Court, assistant coroner Judith Leach opened the inquest today (27) for the death of Maria Buckingham, or High Street, South Moreton in Didcot.

Buckingham, who was a barrister, died on Monday, July 11 at Didcot Parkway Station in Station Road. Her death was verified at 4.14am by PC Aaron Petford.

After a postmortem examination, it is believed that her cause of death is from multiple injuries.

The date of her inquest, where the coroner will determine how Buckingham died which will be noted on the ‘record of inquest, will be at 10am on Thursday, January 12 next year.
