A FIRST hearing has taken place for an Abingdon defendant charged with several historic child sex offences.
Leslie Clibbon, 75, has been charged with 13 child sex abuse counts, including rape.
Four counts are gross indecency with child, six counts are an indecent assault on a girl under the age of 14 and two counts are rape.
It is alleged the offences took place in the late 1980’s and early 1990s.

Clibbon, of Saxton Road, Abingdon, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (April 16) faced with these charges.
The case has now been adjourned and sent to Oxford Crown Court.
Clibbon will be due at the higher court on May 16 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
