Woodcote named village of year
Woodcote has won this year's Calor Oxfordshire Village of the Year - run by Oxfordshire Rural Community Council.
District winners were Deddington, East Hendred, Hailey and Woodcote, while Blewbury, Fritwell, Stanford in the Vale and Shipton-under-Wychwood all received environmental prizes.
Freeland, Kennington, Cassington, Wheatley and Marcham also picked up individual prizes.
Woodcote will now represent the county in the national competition.
