Space-loving synth-rockers Public Service Broadcasting, classical-electro-pop act Clean Bandit and drum & bass star Shy FX are additions to the bill at Oxfordshire’s Truck festival.

The acts join scores of rock, pop, dance, folk, jazz and blues performers at the music festival in Steventon on July 17 and 18.

Also playing are headliners Basement Jaxx and Charlatans, New Order artist Peter Hook, and many others such as Slaves, Darwin Deez, Ghostpoet, Rae Morris, Eagulls, Honeyblood, Saint Raymond, The Wytches and Lucy Rose.

Public Service Broadcasting consists of enigmatic duo J Willgoose esq and Wrigglesworth. Their set follows the release this year of their album The Race for Space – which recounts the story of space exploration in music and samples from original space craft and control room recordings.

Cambridge quartet Clean Bandit fuse classical music with electro-pop. Their Truck appearance follows a Grammy award for their hit Rather Be.

Shy FX presents bass-heavy dance music in conjunction with Oxford’s Switch collective.

Beats also come courtesy of Black Butter Records’ My Nu Leng, MOBO award-winning garage duo DJ Luck & MC Neat, bass music two-piece GotSome and Switch resident DJs.

Other additions to the bill include trio All We Are, indie-pop band Dog Is Dead, rock act The Bohicas, husband and wife duo Summer Camp, Australian trio DMA’s, singer Rat Boy, The Magic Gang, Neon Waltz, singer-songwriter Jake Isaac and indie act New Desert Blues.

Weekend camping tickets are from £79.50 from truckfestival.com
