A new crafty pre-school in Wantage aims to harness toddlers’ creativity into something productive.

Didcot mother-of-two Becci Cox opened her new Creative Kidz centre in the town’s Arbery Arcade this month with business partner Carrie Beeton. The pair said they wanted to give parents a relaxing break that was also good for their children.

Ms Cox said: “As a mum of two small children I know how difficult it can be to find affordable things to do with children in the local area.

“We are in a great central location, so we hope that mums, dads and carers will pop in for coffee or lunch and relax while their children engage in some fun creative play.”

Creative Kidz has opened in the former Stamp Attic unit in the arcade.

The play centre features different zones including a baby corner, ‘role-play village’, craft zone, book nook and construction site. It is aimed primarily at pre-school children but will welcome children up to the age of eight.

The centre will be open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm.

Prices range for £2 to £4.50 depending on children’s level of development.
