Visit from Darth Vader goes down a storm
WHEN Darth Vader dropped into an Abingdon bookshop the force was with him — in the form of three Stormtroopers.
Mr Vadar, also known as actor Dave Prowse – pictured with eight-year-old Bradley Wiblin from Abingdon – was at The Bookstore, in the Precinct, on Saturday to sign copies of his new autobiography From the Force’s Mouth.
Bradley said: “It was good. He signed my book. The Stormtroopers were scary, but Darth Vader was not that scary.” Shop owner Ian Collett said the visit brought Abingdon to a standstill as hundreds of people turned out for a glimpse of Mr Prowse and the Stormtroopers.
Mr Collett said: “We had huge queues.”
