AN adventurous squirrel got itself stuck in what was supposed to be a squirrel proof bird feeder.
Former Oxford Mail photographer George Reszeter, 59, took this snap in his garden in Wootton near Abingdon.
Mr Reszeter, who worked on the paper for 25 years as a staffer and four years as a freelancer, said: “I think it must have been a young squirrel. The bones are more supple and they can get into these places.
“It got in there and loved it – but it was shocked to see me and wanted to get out, and after a short while it managed to get out and ran away.”
The squirrel emerged unscathed from the incident, but might think again before entering another bird feeder.
