A STRICTLY Jive Fever competition featuring people from across Oxfordshire is coming to its final stages.
It’s down to the semi final stage in the competition, being run by Coralie Green of the Jive+ Modern Jive group, with seven competitors remaining who are vying for a ‘Sctrictly’ trophy.
They will be trying to impress the judges at Oxford Sports and Social Club, tonight from 8.30pm to half past midnight. After just six weeks of tuition, 11 contestants have been participating in the competition with their respective 11 trainers.
Perhaps the most diverse couple are Al Marshal from Witney, the youngest trainer, and Anne Richardson, 59 from Yarnton.
Ms Richardson, a clinical psychologist, said: “It is a bit tense when we get to competition days but it is huge fun and I would recommend it to anyone.”
The Jive+ Modern Jive Group meets in Marlborough School in Woodstock on Mondays, The Trades and Labour Club in Banbury on Tuesdays, Langdale Hall in Witney on Wednesdays, and at the Oxford Academy in Littlemore on Thursdays.
