FIREFIGHTERS attended five flood-related incidents overnight across Oxfordshire overnight.
They are currently in Bladon where they are pumping water out of a house.
Firefighters also went to Fewcott where they helped with sandbagging, Swerford where they helped move furniture and Field Assarts where they gave advice on moving furniture.
Just over 22mm of rain fell at the Met Office’s weather station at Brize Norton in the 24 hours leading up to 8am this morning.
A Met Office spokesman said that while this was not a “massive” amount of rain, the problems with flooding had been caused by ground saturation rather than the quantity of rain.
Forecasts indicate there will be heavy rain in Oxfordshire again from 6pm tonight.
