A VICTIM of the floods of 2007 were last night hoping the scale of the disaster would not be repeated.
West Oxford pensioner Mary Timbrell, whose home suffered £40,000 of damage five years ago, said she was advising neighbours to move precious belongings upstairs.
The 75-year-old flood warden from Duke Street said: “My main concern is for the very elderly and frail people who have high dependency needs.
“I don’t want to panic people but we have now had the police come round and are taking this rather seriously.”
