FLOODS: Narrowboat in Wolvercote, Oxford swept down river
9:40am Tuesday 27th November 2012 in News
A narrowboat just north of Godstow Lock, Wolvercote, broke from its moorings and swept down the River Thames.
It smashed into the bridge by the Trout pub before sinking out of sight in the early hours of yesterday.
It joined a submerged boat rammed against the barrier at Osney Lock as a victim of the flooding.
