OXFORDSHIRE drivers have faced huge problems today as an accident on the A420 combined with post-flood road clean-ups has caused long delays.
The A420 was closed in both directions near the Bampton turn for an hour from 7.25am to deal with a collision between a Landrover and a white van.
Temporary traffic lights on two stretches of Botley Road, including near the Ferry Hinksey junction have added to the misery.
Traffic has been at a standstill near Cumnor Hill, and crawling between Botley Interchange and the Hythe Bridge Street junction.
There are also reports of heavy traffic delays in St Giles.
Rain this morning has also forced the closure of High Street in Clifton Hampden at the A415 Abingdon Road junction, because of flooding.
Tailbacks have also stretched from the A40 in Cassington Eynsham Roundabout and Wolvercote Roundabout to stretches of the A40 in east Oxford.
