Budget on town council meeting agenda

DIDCOT: The next meeting of the town council will be held on Monday.

As well as discussing the council’s budget, councillors will discuss a report from the Ladygrove Access Working Group, which aims to improve transport links between the estate and the rest of the town.

The meeting takes place in the civic hall in Britwell Road at 7.30pm.

At a time in history when we now try to encourage greater use of eco-friendly public transport (whilst still allowing parked vehicles to clog-up our streets) then surely there should be provision for public transport in the same way as adequate provision of drains and sewers - or, as usual, is it always 'another authority's responsibility' and beyond the scope of often over-paid planners .... not to mention MPs?
