Struggling Blockbuster set to shut Faringdon branch

OXON: Faringdon’s Blockbuster video store is the only one in Oxfordshire currently facing closure after the firm went into administration.

On Friday, administrators Deloitte announced that 129 of Blockbuster’s 528 stores would be closing over the next few weeks, including the one in Faringdon Market Place, and 760 of the 4,190 staff would be made redundant.

Blockbuster isn't a video store any more, and changed its name accordingly some time ago
