A POWER cut is affecting about 1,200 homes in the Wantage area.
Engineers were called following a fault with the high-voltage network at 9.20am.
The fault was fixed by 9.35am but the power went out again at 9.55am.
A spokesman for Southern Electric said: “We are working to fix the fault and don’t know yet if this is weather-related.”

It's not true at all that they don't work in freezing conditions. Some of the time cold temperatures also bring very low wind but this is not always the case and hasn't been in the last few days and so wind has been generating just as much power as normal.
