THE names of county war heroes will be read out tomorrow at a Turning the Pages Ceremony.

Relatives of those who fought for their country as members of the Queen’s Own Oxfordshire Hussars and the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry will gather at Christ Church Cathedral at 11am to remember them.

Colonel Mike Vince, ceremony organiser, said: “It is very important to remember those who have gone before us and the freedoms they have given us.

“The ceremony has been gaining popularity,” he added.

“We generally get 30 or 40 people there and at the November event we had more than 100.”

He added: “We hope as many people as possible can attend and hear their relatives’ names being read out.”
