MODEL railway fans, both young and old, flocked to Abingdon’s White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre for an annual show.

Each year Abingdon and District Railway Club stages an exhibition, inviting modellers from far afield to bring their layouts to demonstrate.

Angela Fountain, 41, from Abingdon, took her son, Samuel, four, to the exhibition.

She said: “We went to one about two years ago and it was very good, so when I saw the sign at the gym I thought it would be great.

“Samuel really, really enjoyed it. He said his favourite part was ‘all of it’. We have had the toy trains out since and even watched trains on YouTube.”

Model club member Ivan Cadge said: “We had lots of people through the door and a really nice time was had by all our visitors.”
