JILLY, a Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen from Wallingford tonight won Best in Show at Crufts.

Jilly, who is owned by Sara and Gavin Robertson, saw off more than 20,000 dogs to take the coveted title at the four-day competition.

The three-year-old was tonight up against six other rivals at the NEC in Birmingham who had each been awarded Best of Breed and then Best in Group in previous rounds.

Jilly was awarded the first place rosette after being assessed by a Kennel-club approved judge.

Looking forward to stepping into a Crufts Winning Poo in our parks or streets.
But no, cynical me. That's BAD dogs leaving poos everywhere; not Crufts winning dogs. Crufts winning dogs DO pick up their poos. Do you?

Call me cynical, but here we are in an ever-worsening recession affecting so very many many people (especially the homeless, elderley and disabled) across Oxfordshire, with parts of Oxford now rated as suffering the worst 10% Child Deprivation and poverty in England ..... and the Oxford Mail headlines Crufts?
