Police counter opens tomorrow

A police counter at Wantage library in Stirlings Road is to open tomorrow.

Wantage Police Station will close in the next few weeks and a new £1.13m base will open at the Grove Technology Park.

Deputy Chief Constable Francis Habgood said: “The site has now been sold, but I would like to reassure residents that the visibility of officers on the streets of Wantage will remain the same.”

Oh so unless they are rushing through in cars or Around the Pubs at weekends we still wont see one waling the Town apart from a Community support one
