THE sun shone on Didcot as crowds enjoyed fairground rides, live music and demonstrations from community groups.

Siblings Freya and Zach Melrose were among the youngsters enjoying the activities on offer at the town’s fair on Saturday in Edmonds Park, Park Road.

Freya, 10, from Didcot, said: “It was just really fun. It was nice to go down there and see everyone and all the rides were really good.

“I think it is good to go down there with family.”

Mum Gemma Souch, 33, said: “They have been on lots of the rides.

“We came to support the local community.

“The children loved it.”

Jazz McLearie took part in dog agility demonstrations with her dog Bailey, a springer spaniel.

The 44-year-old Wallingford Agility Club member, from Blewbury, said: “It was good fun and really friendly.

“The fair was busy – it was a good response from the community.”

The fair was organised by Didcot Town Council.
