Nigel Fletcher, 45, from Morrell Crescent in Littlemore, Oxford, admitted carrying a four-inch kitchen knife in Morrell Crescent without good reason or lawful authority on August 6. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £50 costs and a £15 victims’ discharge.
Welsey Gilbert, 32, of Owens Way, Temple Cowley, admitted assault by beating a man in Oxford on August 1. Fined £50 and told to pay £50 compensation, £50 costs and a £20 victims’ surcharge.
Mandeep Singh, 23, a resident of Homeless Pathways in Luther Street, Oxford, admitted harrassment by contacting someone prohibited by a restraining order in Magdalen Road, Oxford on August 22. Fined £85, told to pay £50 costs and a £20 victims’ surcharge.
George Hunt, 21, of St Clement’s Street, Oxford, admitted interfering with a car with the intention of stealing it or part of it in Oxford on May 4. Given a community order with 50 hours’ unpaid work in the next 12 months and told to pay £250 compensation, £85 costs and a £60 victims’ surcharge.
Tobias Bruce, 21, of Hazeldene Close, Eynsham, admitted possessing cannabis, a class B drug, in Norham Gardens, Oxford on July 28 and at Banbury Railway Station on August 15. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £170 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
James Butterworth, 33, of Speedwell Street, Oxford, admitted stealing £369.96 worth of Lego. Butterworth stole Lego to the value of £80 and £89.96 from Cornmarket Street WH Smith on July 15 and 25 respectively. He stole £100 worth of Lego from the same shop on June 29 and June 30. Also admitted stealing three boxes of lego worth £56.97 from Toys R Us in Botley Road on July 12, and admitted stealing £82.03 worth of meat from Sainsbury’s in the Westgate Centre, Oxford on July 2. Given a four-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months, required to undergo drug rehabilitation and told to pay £369.46 compensation for the Lego stolen from WH Smith, £82.03 for the meat and an £80 victims’ surcharge.
Jade Slater, 19, from Hollow Way, Cowley, admitted assaulting a woman causing bodily harm in Risinghurst, on July 9. Given a community order requiring participation in a restorative justice and education training and employment programme for four days. Also told to pay a victims’ surcharge of £60 and £20 compensation.
Ali Amin, 18, of Pipkin Way, Oxford, admitted assaulting a man by beating him on April 15 in Oxford. Given a 12-month conditional discharge, told to pay a victims’ surcharge of £15 and £85 costs.
Dean Gunning, 22, of Harwell, Didcot, admitted causing £600-worth of criminal damage to a Ford Galaxy in Gaveston Road, Harwell, on May 13. Also admitted assaulting a woman by beating her on the same occasion. Given a community order with a one-month curfew from August 23 to September 22. Offender to remain at an address in Gaveston Road between 8pm and 6am. Told to pay £400 compensation, £200 costs and a £60 victims’ surcharge.
Damien Lea, 33, of Cedar Court, Iffley Road, Oxford, admitted stealing two bottles of wine, chocolate and a toilet roll to the value of £9.05 from Cowley Road Tesco on May 14. Fined £90 and told to pay £100 costs and a £20 victims’ surcharge.
Leigh Butler, 35, of Crowmarsh Gifford, Wallingford, admitted handling stolen goods on June 9 at Wallingford, namely a Greys fly fishing rod and a box of Greys fishing reels. Fined £73, ordered to pay £75 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs. Also admitted possessing cannabis, a class B drug, at Wallingford on August 9. Fined £73.
Carl Hatch, 37, of Oxford Homeless Pathways, admitted stealing four cans of Special Brew from Sainsbury’s on June 7. Community order made, with alcohol treatment for six months and supervision requirements. Told to pay £60 victims’ surcharge.
Lee Thompson, 40, of Wood Farm Road, Headington, admitted stealing one can of Kronenbourg beer from a pack of four to the value of £5.55 from the Co-Operative at Templars Square, Cowley on August 1. Told to pay £15 victims’ surcharge.
Saaod Al-Abda, 21, of Rowland Hill Court, Oxford, admitted drink-driving in High Street, Oxford, on August 10. Had 45 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £600, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.
Krystian Hajduk, 26, of Colwell Drive, Witney, admitted failing without reasonable excuse to provide a specimen of breath for analysis on May 24 in Abingdon. Ordered to pay £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Community order made with eight-week curfew requirement. Also admitted driving a vehicle without insurance on May 24 in Carterton. Fined £200.
Ryszard Chrzastek, 40, of no fixed address, admitted stealing a bottle of vodka and some milk to the value of £24.39 from Tesco in Marcham Road, Abingdon. Ordered to pay £60 victims’ surcharge. Given a six-month community order with supervision requirement. Also admitted stealing items to the value of £36.94 from Tesco in Marcham Road, Abingdon on July 10. Also admitted stealing food items to the value of £13.14 from the Co-operative in Bury Street, Abingdon on August 5.
Tristan Lawrence, 28, of Nettlebed Mead, Oxford, admitted being drunk and disorderly in George Street, Oxford on August 10. Fined £35, ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £35 costs.
Lee Wallis, 37, of Station Road, Chinnor, admitted stealing a box of 24 cans of Strongbow cider to the value of £31.74, belonging to BP Express in Park Street, Thame, on August 10. Fined £165 and made to pay £5.29 compensation. Ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Also admitted possessing cannabis, a class B drug, in Abingdon Police Station on August 10. Fined £165.
Kalvin Hall, 28, of Deer Walk, Greater Leys, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Sunderland Magistrates’ Court on July 7 2012. Failed without reasonable excuse to work as instructed on August 3, 2013 and failed to keep in touch with the responsible officer. Fined £150 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
Gavin Jones, 37, of Great Western Drive, Didcot, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on October 3, 2012. Failed to attend supervision on May 15, 2013 at MacMillan House, Oxford. Fined £50 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
Wagner Neves, 30, of Asquith Road, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with requirements of a community order made by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on May 17, 2012. Failed to attend unpaid work on August 4, 2013. Fined £50 and £20 victims’ surcharge. Must carry out unpaid work for 200 hours in next 12 months.
