Buildings at Didcot A Power Station are to be torn down this year, before its cooling towers, right, are blown up in 2014.
The demolition of Didcot A Power Station is expected to start within the next few months and bring around 200 jobs to the site.
After almost 43 years producing electricity, the coalfired power station was disconnected from the National Grid in March.
The decommissioning process began on March 31 and the demolition is due to begin before the end of the year.
Power company npower announced on Monday it will hand over the site to newly appointed demolition contractors Coleman and Company within the next four weeks.
The small buildings are due to be ripped down first, before the six 325ft cooling towers are blown up or dismantled.
