Happy birthday to you from great-great-granny
5:00pm Saturday 14th September 2013 in News
WITH 33 children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren to buy for, it’s an impressive feat that Stanton Harcourt’s Cynthia Goodman never forgets each of their birthdays.
The 80-year-old has recently welcomed the latest addition to her brood, second great-great grandchild Steven Wall, born on August 22.
It means she has six children, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She said: “It is great because they are good kids. I write down their birthdays in the birthday book. We all get on all right.”
Daughter Patricia Church, 59 said: “I am pretty close with my mum. I live two doors from her.
“She is great and has a great social life. She writes all the birthdays down.”
Her daughter, mother-of-six Caroline Wall, 38, said: “It is brilliant.
“I don’t see any other families with five living generations. It is amazing.”
Of her grandmother, Mrs Wall added: “She loves it. She always has the grandchildren round.
“She never forgets their birthdays. She cannot afford to buy them all presents but she will buy them a card.”
Mrs Wall’s son Aaron Wall, 20, a landscape gardener of Stanton Harcourt, is the father of Tommy Wall, 19 months, and the family’s new addition Steven.
