2:48pm Wednesday 25th September 2013 in News
HERE’S your chance to enjoy some spooky Halloween fun at Beaulieu in the heart of the New Forest. A visit to what is reputed to be one of Britain’s most haunted places awaits the winners of our latest Herald contest.
Ghostly stories from costumed guides, gruesome face-painting fun and the chance to take a lucky dip in the witch’s cauldron are part of the Halloween entertainment awaiting visitors this coming half-term school break from October 26 to November 3.
We have six family tickets, each worth £55, for you to win to visit Beaulieu, the home of the National Motor Musuem, Beaulieu Abbey and the Palace House and gardens, near Brockenhurst, Hampshire. A family ticket admits two adults and up to three children or one adult and up to four children.
Ghosts have often been seen and heard in Beaulieu’s 13th-century Abbey and at Palace House, thee home of the Montagu family since 1538, so lots of spooky fun is guaranteed.
In the motor museum, you can follow the Halloween Trail to see some of the 250 vehicles on show, from early motor cars to land speed record breakers, and, if you’re a fan of James Bond, you can visit the museum’s Bond in Motion exhibition for a close-up look at 50 of the most popular and iconic vehicles from the James Bond films.
Fans of the Top Gear television motoring show will relish visiting the World of Top Gear exhibition which includes cars from some of the programme’s most ambitious challenges. Hear the stories behind them and enjoy clips of some of the best Top Gear moments.
You can take a ride on the Wheels pod ride through 100 years of motoring history and climb aboard the high-level Beaulieu monorail which passes through the roof of the motor museum.
