News that children’s services will be protected from closure in Oxfordshire has been welcomed by the Prime Minister.

Witney MP David Cameron said he was pleased that the county council was not planning to close any of its 44 centres.

He said: “It is a tough time for local government as savings are still having to be made but I am delighted to hear that the county council has decided that children’s centres across the county will remain open.”
