RADIO and TV presenter Anne Diamond added some sparkle to the Christmas lights switch-on at an Abingdon care home.
Bridge House Care Home, in Thames View, invited the former BBC Radio Oxford presenter and host of Good Morning Britain to switch on its lights and decorations on Wednesday.
The care home for elderly residents welcomed more than 120 neighbours and their children for the Christmas festivities and switch-on.
Two reindeer were a top attraction, and Sue Shepherd, who lives off Bridge Street, took grandson George Grandi, eight, a pupil at Thomas Reade Primary School, to see them. She said: “The children loved seeing the reindeer and a machine that blew up fake snow.
Dawn Sharp, business manager at the home, said: “The children loved being able to touch and stroke the reindeer.”
