Police probe report of hare coursing
POLICEare investigating a report of hare coursing in the Wantage area.
Thames Valley Police is looking into the report from Charney Bassett at 8am yesterday.
It said four people were seen in a Suzuki 4x4 with three lurcher dogs.
It follows a report of “suspicious persons” possibly hare coursing on land at Hanney Road, Steventon, on Saturday, November 2.
Hare coursing – where dogs chase hares – is illegal under The Hunting Act 2004.
