A 22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been further detained for questioning.

Officers have been granted a further 12 hours until 4.30pm today to question the man, thought to be missing Jayden Parkinson's boyfriend.

A 17-year-old boy, also arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in police custody.

Jayden, 17, has been missing since Tuesday, December 3, after she left the One Foot Forward hostel in Iffley Road, Oxford.

Police were at the former Crown pub in Queensway last night and officers are close to a wooded area by St Mary's Church in Upton, but have confirmed they haven't found a body.

Two men, aged 22 and 17, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police said yesterday they did not know if Jayden was alive or dead.

Detective Chief Superintendent Andy Murray said police were becoming increasingly concerned about the teenager but were hopeful she was still alive.

Officers have also been searching countryside between Didcot and Upton today.

Police say Jayden caught a train from Oxford to Didcot on December 3, arriving at Didcot Parkway just before 4.30pm.
