A POST-mortem examination will today be carried out on what is believed to be the body of Jayden Parkinson.

Thames Valley Police held a press conference this morning to discuss the latest on the case after a body believed to belong to the missing 17-year-old was discovered last night.

Det Chf Supt Andy Murray said the formal identification of the body found at the grave at All Saints Church on Lydalls Road in Didcot last night had not yet taken place.

But he said the body was removed from the cemetery late last night and a post-mortem examination would be held today.

Det Chf Supt Murray said: "We have prepared Jayden's family for the worst, but I am afraid nothing can prepare you for the loss of your child. They remain heartbroken. They remain devastated and our thoughts remain with them at this time."
