A 93-YEAR-OLD woman died just days after a fall in a street, an inquest has heard.
Joan Gibbs, of Radley Road, Abingdon, was walking past Lloyds Chemist in Bury Street, Abingdon when she fell on the pavement on June 24.
The inquest at Oxfordshire Coroner’s Court this week heard she was taken to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital but died on July 5 after her condition deteriorated.
Her cause of death was bronchial pneumonia due to subdural hematoma, a serious brain condition, caused by a fall.
Deputy county coroner Nicholas Gardiner recorded a verdict of death by accident.
