Jayden update: Formal identification of Didcot teenager

Herald Series: Jayden Parkinson Jayden Parkinson

THE body found in a disturbed Didcot grave has this afternoon been formally identified as 17-year-old Jayden Parkinson.

The teenager had been missing since Tuesday, December 3, until murder detectives unearthed her body in Great Western Cemetery next to All Saints’ Church on Wednesday night.

A post mortem examination was yesterday inconclusive and police have today said toxicology tests could take six weeks to come back with answers on how she died.

The teen’s boyfriend Ben Blakelely, 22, of Christchurch Road, Reading has been charged with her murder and perverting the course of justice.

A 17-year-old Didcot boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, also faces a perverting the course of justice charge.

Both are in custody and will appear in court again in March.
