PLANS to bulldoze The Sprat pub in Didcot to build seven houses on the site have been revealed.
An application to turn the pub in Hagbourne Road into houses has been submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council.
Tesco pulled out of a deal to buy the pub and try to convert it into a shop in May this year.
The pub dates back to 1874 and plans to close it were first announced in 2011.
The plans by Ian Sullivan Architecture Ltd aim to build seven two and three-bedroomed houses on the 1390 sq m site.
Landlord Paul French said: “The pub will remain open until the planning application has been approved.”
The consultation period for the plans closes on January 8.
