More than 500 county homes which lost power over Christmas may be eligible for compensation.
Scottish and Southern Energy Power Distribution said it will pay £54 to domestic and business customers without electricity for 48 hours.
It pledged a further £54 for further 12-hour periods without power and those without electricity on Christmas Day will get £75.
