A cyclist in his seventies who was air-lifted to hospital in a life-threatening condition after falling into flood water has died.

The incident happened at Godstow Road in Wytham shortly before 12pm today.

The Oxford man was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

A police helicopter was also sent to the scene.
