WANTAGE charity champion Ray Collins is offering people the chance to raise money for good causes.
Mr Collins has taken over the town’s new community shop, The Mix, for two weeks, selling cakes and other items for charity.
The 44-year-old, who works at Ledbury’s Electricals in Wantage, will be promoting a Moonlight Walk on the Ridgeway on March 22, a Welsh male voice choir concert at Wantage Parish Church on March 1, and his Standing up to Cancer event on April 27.
Until February 15, visitors to the Mill Street shop will be able to get tickets for events and sign up to join a 5km sponsored walk on April 27.
Mr Collins said: “More than 350,000 people were diagnosed last year with some form of cancer. It’s so important to keep raising funds to help fight this horrible disease.”
