Children make crafts out of junk

TO a child, a few scraps of string and a cardboard box can become anything in the universe.

For young Toby Mahan, it became an impressive medieval castle, complete with drawbridge.

Toby and his mother made the creation at The Mix, a community space in Wantage.

Toby, seven, said: “It was really fun. I was pleased with my castle, but mummy helped with the drawbridge.”
