A lorry driver who died after a crash that happened while police cleared a dead badger from the A34 was aged 61 and from Bedford.

The man – who was driving a white Mercedes lorry – died of his injuries at the John Radcliffe Hospital after the crash with another lorry on the southbound carriageway near Marcham just before 3am on Friday. Police yesterday appealed again for witnesses to call 101 with information.
