A CRICKET club is on fire and a tree has fallen on to a house following lightning strikes in Oxfordshire this afternoon.
Six fire engines are on the scene of the blaze at Banbury Twenty cricket club and two crews were called to help after a tree crashed down on to a home in Shipton-on-Cherwell.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the cricket club blaze in Ermont Way, Banbury at about 2.36pm after reports of a lightning strike.
Firefighters were also called to Shipton-on-Cherwell at 1.35pm after reports a tree had fallen on to a house after being struck by lightning.
No one has been reported injured.
