THAMES Valley Police has called in the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) to look at its handling of two sex attacks.

The same man has been charged over offences in Oxford on March 20 and on May 1 in Watlington, a police force spokesman said.

The force has referred itself to the IPCC and asked it to assess its actions. The spokesman said the IPCC would then decide whether to investigate further.

No details about why the force has called in the IPCC have been released yet.

This is the third time this year it has been reported the IPCC has been asked to look at Thames Valley's responses to serious incidents. In March it emerged the force had referred itself over how it handled part of the investigation of murdered teenager Jayden Parkinson.

And in January it was reported the IPPC was investigating a 999 call from a 22-year-old who was later raped in Botley Road.

What a waste of time getting the IPCC involved as they work so closelly with Thames Valley Police in order to cover up any misconduct issues!
Eventually the IPCC will claim that they have "investigated" this and that the Police have done nothing wrong!
Not surprising that the public have no confidence whatsoever in the IPCC or the complaints process at all as it is so biased towards the police. Thats why they get away with everything.
