French visitors got a taste of English hospitality and weather on a twinning visit to Wantage.
The group of 24 from its twin town Mably in the Loire Valley spent a week on the cultural exchange.
Highlights included a day in Oxford with a tour of Christ Church College, a guided tour of Wantage itself, and a visit to the Diamond Light Source at Harwell.
Alison Davidge, chairman of the French Twinning Group, said: “We always enjoy having our French visitors to stay and this time we managed to pack in a pretty varied programme.
“It is a good chance for us to try out and practise our French and give our French friends a share and taste of some of our typical local English traditions.”
