How apt that Sienna Steptoe has taken her first steps, thanks to modern technology.
It must have been a wonderful sight for her parents to watch the seven-year-old walk after her traumatic childhood.
Told at five months old she would never walk again, Sienna has defied the experts thanks to using a spider harness and intensive physiotherapy. She can now enjoy activities others take for granted like trampolining or bouncing on her bed.
It shows the great work done by Footsteps Foundation – a charity that is clearly making a real difference.
Sienna also provides hope for others with cerebal palsy that its impact on a person’s quality of life can be reduced.
