HOPEFULLY the single Jayden’s Smile, written following the tragedy that befell young Jayden Parkinson, will raise money for the charity set up in her name.

Her former school counsellor has written the tune, with the last line about “our angel dancing in the rain” inspired by her love of dancing and the rain that fell during her memorial service.

Jayden’s mother Sam Shrewsbury has set up the charity to benefit domestic abuse victims.

Losing a loved one, particularly in these circumstances, is horrific, but Ms Shrewsbury is at least trying to produce a positive from her death.
