BANBURY MAGISTRATES

  1. Richard Bradley, 47, of Swinbrook Road, Shipton-under-Wychwood, admitted drink-driving in Fiddlers Hill, Shipton-under-Wychwood, on May 12. Had 61 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £50, a £35 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 16 months.
  2. Stefan-Ioan Lupuliasa, 24, of Cromwell Road, Banbury, admitted shoplifting perfume worth £39 from Debenhams in Castle Quay, Banbury, on May 12. Fined £260, a £26 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.
  3. Michael Sullivan, 67, of Nobles Close, Botley, Oxford, admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance in Bunkers Hill, Kidlington, on December 7. Also admitted speeding at 66mph in a 50pmh zone in Bunkers Hill, Kidlington, on December 7. Given a four-week prison sentence suspended for six months. Told to pay a £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for six months.
  4. Anthony Winfield, 49, of Balmoral Avenue, Banbury, admitted using threatening, abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, at Banbury United Football Club, Station Approach, Banbury, on April 25. Fined £160 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  5. Georgina Cavanagh, 36, of Lyneham Road, Bicester, admitted possession of Class A drugs cocaine and heroin in Banbury on May 27. Sentenced to 14 weeks in prison.
  6. Andrew Fletcher, 36, of no fixed address, admitted shoplifting hair straighteners worth £89.99 from Boots in High Street, Witney, on February 8. Admitted theft by employee after taking £150 from Phil Serve Motor engineering service in Belle Terrace, Carterton, on January 6. Stole Gillette Fusion razor blades worth £78.36 from Boots in High Street, Witney, on February 28 and razor blades worth £24.38 from the shop on March 3. Shoplifted meat worth £50 from Waitrose in Woolgate Shopping Centre, Witney, twice on February 24. Also stole meat and razor blades worth £50 from the store on March 11. Community order made with drug rehabilitation and supervision requirements. Told to pay a total of £492.73 compensation.
  7. Daniel Westlake, 20, of Marlborough Road, Oxford, admitted vehicle interference and aggravated vehicle taking of a Ford KA between May 24 and May 26. Also admitted driving whilst disqualified and without insurance in Hennef Way, Banbury, on May 27. Admitted criminal damage to a Buddi tag worth £340 belonging to Thames Valley Police in The Grates, Oxford, on May 26 and theft by finding after taking a Buddi tag electronic tagging system belonging to Thames Valley Police in The Grates, Oxford, on May 26. Sentenced to eight weeks detention in a young offender institution. Banned from driving for 12 months.
  8. Larry Bath, 63, of Buckland Road, Charney Bassett, near Wantage, admitted speeding over the 30mph limit on the A338 at East Hanney on October 1. Fined £665 and ordered to pay a £67 victims’ surcharge, £80 costs and licence endorsed with six points.
  9. Matthew Burnett, 29, of Letcombe Bassett, near Wantage, admitted speeding over the 30mph limit on Besselsleigh Road, Wootton, on October 10. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £65 costs. Licence endorsed with six points.
  10. Jessica Tustain, 21, of Howard Road, Banbury, admitted stealing six bottles of perfume, worth £6, from Pound Stretcher in Banbury and three bottles of fragrance worth £54.97 from TK Maxx in Banbury on April 10. Also admitted stealing £10 worth of lamb chops from Ruscote Arcade, Banbury, on April 6, laundry detergent worth £10 from Co-op in Banbury on March 7, breaching a conditional discharge made at Banbury Magistrates’ Court on March 12 for stealing two bottles of aftershave worth £130 from Debenhams in Banbury on February 25. Sent to prison for six weeks.
  11. Hannah Beckett, 35, of Glenmore Road, Carterton, admitted stealing goods worth £46.59 from Co-op, £13.98 worth of toys from Giles Toy Store and £54.85 worth of goods from Lloyds Pharmacy in Carterton on April 10. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  12. Alastair Mcnish, 54, of The Oval, Rose Hill, Oxford, admitted stealing a Karcher Window Vac worth £59.99 from Halfords in Banbury on May 22. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  13. Jason Parker, 40, of Midway, Middleton Cheney, near Banbury, admitted assaulting a man and a woman at an address in Manor Road, Banbury, on December 29. Given a community order requiring 120 hours of unpaid work in the next year and ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  14. David Webb, 28, of Peoples Place, Banbury, admitted harassing a woman and breaching a restraining order by telephoning her. Given a four-week prison sentence suspended for two years, and must participate in a 32-day Building Better Relationships programme. Also ordered to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  15. Bruno Alves, of Middleton Road, Banbury, convicted in his absence of keeping an unlicensed car on a public road, namely Brunswick Place, Banbury, on January 8. Fined £200 and ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £18.75 and £90 costs.
  16. Gary Boneham, 47, of Edmunds Road, Banbury, convicted of keeping an unlicensed car on a public road, namely Ruscote Avenue, Banbury, on January 17. Fined £200 and ordered to pay £56.25 vehicle excise back duty and £90 costs.
  17. Jose Da Silva, 44, of Junction Road, Oxford, convicted in his absence of failing to deliver up a motor vehicle licence which was unpaid on November 28. Fined £200 and ordered to pay £56.25 vehicle excise back duty and a £20 victims’ surcharge and £90 costs.
  18. Wojciech Luciminski, 29, of Danesmoor, Banbury, convicted of keeping an unlicensed car on a public road, namely Ruscote Avenue, Banbury on January 17. Fined £600 and ordered to pay £150 vehicle excise back duty and £90 costs.
  19. Martin McDonagh, of North Way, Headington, convicted of failing to deliver up a motor vehicle licence which was unpaid on April 5. Fined £200 and ordered to pay £13.75 vehicle excise back duty, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £90 costs.
  20. Benita Cranham, 25, of East Avenue, Oxford, convicted of failing to notify the Secretary of State of a transfer of ownership of a vehicle on November 29. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £90 costs.
  21. Jemma Andrew-Adiamiah, 28, of Middle Street, Islip, near Kidlington, convicted of travelling on a Chiltern railway service from London Marylebone to Bicester North on June 18 without paying the fare. Fined £400 and ordered to pay £53.80 compensation, a £40 victims’ surcharge and £300 costs.
  22. Corey Butler, 18, of Siskin Road, Bicester, admitted refusing to hand over a train ticket for inspection at Banbury on January 30. Fined £45 and ordered to pay £4.70 compensation , a £20 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.
  23. Jez England, 26, of Denchfield Road, Banbury, admitted refusing to produce a ticket showing that fare was paid or pay the fare from the place where the journey started or to give his name to an officer of the railway company at Ashford International and Banbury on June 16. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £55 compensation, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £125 costs.
  24. Paul Wheeler, 37, of Newland Place, Banbury, admitted stealing jewellery from Bretch Hill, Banbury, on April 11. Community order made with alcohol treatment and supervision requirements. Told to pay £22.70 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.
  25. Leon Caton, 22, of Harlequin Way, Banbury, admitted possession of Class B drug cannabis in Springfield Avenue, Banbury, on March 30. Also admitted breaching a non-molestation order in Springfield Avenue, Banbury, on March 30. Community order made and told to do 40 hours of unpaid community work in the next 12 months.
  26. David Watson, 23, of Highworth Place, Witney, convicted of criminal damage worth between £850 and £1,200 to a shop window belonging to Greenway Antiques in Corn Street, Witney, on February 16. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £350 compensation, a £15 victims’ surcharge, and £350 costs.

 

OXFORD MAGISTRATES

  1. Geoffrey Bennett, 50, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted begging in High Street, Oxford, on May 14 and on March 15. Fined £100 and told to pay a £50 victims’ surcharge.
  2. Darrel Patterson, 21, of Court Farm Road, Oxford, admitted possession of Class B drug cannabis in Oxford on April 29. Fined £100, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.
  3. Jamie Hall, 23, of Springfield Road, Wantage, admitted possession of Class B drug methozetamine in Springfield Road, Wantage, on February 19. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  4. Pamela Hall, 46, of Springfield Road, Wantage, admitted possession of Class B drugs methozetamine and cannabis in Springfield Road, Wantage, on February 19. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  5. Kevin Wood, 39, of Derwent Avenue, Headington, admitted failing to comply with a Community Order for trespassing at a house in Bicester made by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on April 4, 2012, by failing to attend supervision sessions. Given a 24-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £15 victims’ surcharge.
  6. Patrick Keenan, 29, of Cuddesdon Way, Oxford, admitted driving a car without a licence or insurance on Holloway Road, Oxford, on April 10. Also admitted stealing an iPhone 4S and £20 cash from a man on April 5 and £70.51 worth of food from Co-op, Oxford, on March 17. Licence endorsed with six points and fined £110. Also given a Community Order requiring 100 hours unpaid work in the next 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs.
