Thief’s flaming cheek
A thief was chased down the street after stealing 10 Yankee candles from a shop.
The woman entered Beales Home Stores on Fairacres Retail Park and hid the Yankee candles in her bag. She then left the store, but a shop assistant had spotted her and chased her down the street. She dropped the bag in her hurry to get away.
The attempted theft happened on Wednesday, June 4, but police have only just released details.
