So Npower dont want to cause disruption in Didcot? No work traffic, no school runs, minimal movement from the 2 business parks, miles of roads, laybys and vantage points for 2 to 40 miles away (the Power Station can be seen from Burford Hill, check that mileage). What bunkum!! Weve lived with it 50 years, and as much as some people love it, we should have the opportunity to see it come down. Think again guys!!

Npower have probably commissioned a team of photographers to take photos, in the hope they can make a killing selling them to the public.........

Share this Facebook page and get NPower to the decent thing. They've made hundreds of millions of pounds in profit from Didcot A - that they hide behind "elth and safety" to prevent the public enjoying the spectacle of this demolition is disgraceful.

When the Sheffield cooling towers were demolished, this was done at 3a.m. & still 8000 people turned up to see it. There were difficulties, both with crowds and because one tower was only half demolished, causing considerable safety concerns & locking down the area for a further 8 hours. Although Didcot is no Sheffield sized city, as numerous people point out, the Didcot towers are known for miles around, thus the "interested" population might be large. So even at 3 am, expect large crowds. Blowing things up is a dangerous pursuit and it would seem wise to time such things at the normally least busy time of day.
