A woman was left with bruising after being attacked by a man while walking from the Tesco store in Marcham Road, Abingdon.
The assault happened as the 32-year-old woman was approached by the man at about 12.15am on Thursday, June 19, but police only released details yesterday.
The victim was punched a number of times, bruising her right arm, grazing one of her knees and bruising the back of her head. She did not need hospital treatment.
A 28-year-old man from Oxford, arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning ABH, was released on bail until Sunday, July 13.
