FIVE police officers have been served misconduct notices and are being interviewed over the handling of the search for murdered teenager Jayden Parkinson.

Independent police investigators are also now looking into complaints from the 17-year-old’s mother that Thames Valley Police did not react appropriately when dealing with Jayden in the months before she disappeared.

Jayden’s former boyfriend Ben Blakeley, 22, was last month sentenced to a minimum of 20 years in prison for murdering her and burying her body in his uncle’s grave in Didcot.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is investigating Thames Valley Police’s actions from the day Jayden was reported missing and whether appropriate risk assessments were made.
