A 13-year-old horse was pulled from a ditch in East Hanney by firefighters yesterday.

Rescue crews from Abingdon and Kidlington were called after the animal got stuck in Station Road at about 10.15am.

Firefighters used straps to get the horse out and had left the scene by 11.30am.
