People are being asked to nominate replacements for the Bishop of Oxford.

The Church of England has formally advertised that the position of Bishop of Oxford will fall vacant on November 1 following the retirement of current bishop, Rt Rev John Pritchard.

The Crown Nominations Commission will meet on next Spring to propose a candidate. Anyone wishing to comment on the needs of the diocese or who wishes to propose a candidate, should write to the Archbishop’s Secretary for Appointments at Lambeth Palace and the Prime Minister’s Secretary for Appointments in Horse Guards Road by January 19.
