John Hudson, 41, of Grebe Close, Abingdon, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Abingdon on May 17 while subject to a 12-month conditional discharge given at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on November 12 for possession of a controlled drug. Fined £80 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Caroline Walls, 38, of Linnet Close, Oxford, admitted stealing 20 bottles of spirits, worth a total of £733.50 from Waitrose, Abingdon, between September 13 and 17. Sent to prison for eight months and ordered to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge.

Emma Burgess, 43, of College Close, Cholsey, near Wallingford, admitted failing to notify South Oxfordshire District Council that she had £16,000, affecting her entitlement to Housing Benefit and a council tax reduction scheme between July 1, 2013, and March 31 this year. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £200 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Matthew Morris, 36, of Vineyard, Abingdon, admitted stealing £81.65 worth of meat from West St Helen Street Co-op in Abingdon on May 30. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £81.65 compensation, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs.

Kirsty McFarlane, 24, of Rectory Road, Oxford, admitted assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty in Oxford on August 1. Sent to prison for two weeks.

Shaun Myles, 24, of Ridgefield Road, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in George Street, Oxford, on August 17. Also admitted possession of a lock knife in George Street, Oxford, on August 17. Given a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Told to pay £50 compensation, an £80 victims’ surcharge, and £80 costs.

Rhys Phillips, 31, of Godfrey Close, Headington, admitted possession of Class B drug cannabis in Oxford on July 6. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.

Stephen Phillips, 54, of no fixed address, admitted shoplifting food and newspapers worth £25.10 from Marks and Spencers in Witney on February 17. Told to pay £80 costs.

Robert Pyne, 40, of Night Shelter, Oxford, admitted stealing meat from Co-op in Botley on June 22. Stole six bottles of spirits worth £178 from Waitrose in Old High Street, Headington, on June 21. Also shoplifted a £699 television from Currys in Orchard Street, Didcot, on June 10. Stole five bottles of spirits worth £78 from Co-op in Cowley on July 7. Community order made with drug rehabilitation and supervision requirements, and to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge.

Christopher Green, 61, of Estate Cottages, Milton Hill, admitted speeding at 44mph in a 30mph zone in Main Road, Appleford on February 17. Fined £300 and told to pay a £30 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with four points.

Andrzej Oglodzinski, 55, of Drayton Road, Abingdon, admitted speeding in a 40mph zone on the A418 in Great Haseley on January 23. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge. Licence endorsed with three points.

Michael Ball, 49, of Tennyson Drive, Abingdon, admitted speeding at 50mph in a 30mph zone in Eynsham Road, Oxford, on February 16. Fined £320 and was ordered to pay a £32 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with six points.

Abdek Benallal, 62, of Asquith Road, Oxford, admitted speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone in Iffley Road, Oxford, on January 24. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.

Pavinder Bhardwaj, 55, of Broadway, Didcot, admitted speeding at 44mph in a 30mph zone in Bessels Way, Blewbury, on January 23. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with five points.

Hayley Charalambous, 36, of Main Road, Long Hanborough, admitted speeding at 56mph in a 30mph zone in Witney Road, Standlake, on February 12. Fined £500 and told to pay a £50 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with six points.
